Ottawa South Basketball Association - Competitive Tryout Update

August 22, 2025 - Ottawa, ON — The Ottawa South Basketball Association (OSBA) is committed to getting our athletes back on the court as quickly as possible.

Tryouts will begin next week in accordance with the divisions listed in the below table. If your team is not yet included in the below table, please check back regularly. The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) and the Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) have now begun approving gym permits, and the next tranche of tryouts will commence starting September 8, 2025.

Confirmed schedules will be posted on our website and emailed directly to affected registrants as they are finalized.

We appreciate your patience and continued support as we work to get all of our players back on the court.

In addition to posting on the website, we will email all affected participant registrants directly with their early tryout times.

We anticipate receiving final confirmation of our school gym permits by 2 Sep, at which time we will publish the complete tryout schedule for all remaining time slots for competitive teams.  We expect these permits to start on 8 Sep 25
