Development (U8-U10)

Boys/Girls

Program Overview

Our U10 program introduces boys and girls, ages 7 - 9, to the game of basketball with emphasis on physical literacy (agility, balance, coordination, speed and general movement), basketball fundamentals (shooting, ball handling, dribbling, passing & receiving), and character development.

Coaches in the program are focused on helping to create a positive, safe and encouraging learning environment in which children can challenge each other and themselves to become better players and people.

  • Practices for all sessions will be 1.5 hour each week.
  • The program will typically start by the last week of September.
  • Players can register and do not have to play competitive.
  • All participants will be required to supply a size 5 basketball, suitable indoor court shoes and shorts. A jersey will be provided and issued at the beginning of the season.
