Program Overview
The OSBA U10 program is for players aged 7-9. We will offer separate boys' and girls' programs.
All participants will be required to supply a size 5 basketball, suitable indoor court shoes and shorts. A reversible OSBA jersey will be provided to all participants.
Sessions
U10 Development
- The U10 Development program is for players age 8 and 9. More advanced age 7 players are also welcome to participate.
- Separate boys and girls programs will practice and play games weekly in a house league format.
- The emphasis is on teaching fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, layups, passing, receiving, defending, footwork, and agility.
- A select number of games will be coordinated with opponents from local area clubs.
U10 Competitive
- The U10 Competitive program is for players age 8 and 9.
- Interested players can register to tryout and separate boys and girls teams will be formed.
- Players are encouraged to also register for U10 Development / House League to hold a space if they are not selected for a competitive team.
- Teams will play in the Eastern Ontario Basketball League (EOBL).
- An additional team fee of $100-$200 may be added to regular registration for competitive teams interested to play additional local and travel games and tournaments.
- Details will be provided by coaches at the beginning of the season.
