Junior Referee Training

Thank you everyone for signing up for the Ottawa South Jr. Ref Program. The intent this year is to give you top tier training before you start. To achieve this, we have partnered the OVBABO, our local board of basketball officials, to deliver out training. You will be trained by the best and most experienced refs in our community. 

Training is mandatory. There will be training on the following days and you must attend both. You also must complete the pre-training activity that you will receive by email prior to your training session on Oct 3rd.

• Oct 3rd at Steve McLean PS 9am or 10:30am 
• Oct 4th at Brookfield HS 3pm or 4:30pm

You should have received an email telling you which training session you are to attend. 

The final session of your training will take place on the court. You will be assigned to ref games Oct 17th and Oct 18th for house league. OVBABO officials will be on hand to observe you and give you feedback. These games will be assigned once the schedule for the event has been established. You may have a week's notice or less. Please make sure you are available.
