Competitive Program
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Ottawa South Basketball Association (OSBA) runs competitive teams for boys and girls from U10 to U19. Team offerings are determined by coach availability and tryout registration numbers.
Our competitive teams practice two evenings per week and compete in various leagues and tournaments. While OSBA strongly supports the Eastern Ontario Basketball League (EOBL), teams also participate in other circuits like the Ontario Basketball League (OBL). In addition to base club fees, teams set separate individual fees based on their specific league selection and tournament schedule.
UNIFORMS
Players purchase their uniforms directly through Accent Logos and Stitches. Your coach will confirm your jersey number before you place your order.
TRYOUTS
Pre-registration is mandatory; players who are not on the tryout list will not be permitted in the gym. Registration closes the day before the first scheduled tryout.

Fee: $35

Evaluation: Players are evaluated by the head coach and OSBA volunteers. The head coach has the final say on roster selections, and all decisions are final.

Offers: Selected players have 24-48 hours to accept their roster spot. Acceptance is only confirmed once competitive club fees are paid.
WHAT IF I DON'T MAKE THE TEAM?
Players not offered a competitive roster spot are highly encouraged to participate in our house league program.
Because our house league is incredibly popular and fills up quickly, we recommend securing a spot by registering for house league at the same time you register for tryouts. If you make the competitive team, your house league fees will be fully applied toward your competitive club fees.
