The Ottawa South Basketball Association is preparing for another exciting basketball season, and we are pleased to announce that general registration information for the 2026-2027 season will be released on the OSBA website on May 15, 2026.
Program literature, season details, schedules, pricing, division information, and registration packages will all become available at that time.

The upcoming season continues to build on the tremendous growth of basketball in Ottawa South, with expanded programming, improved development pathways, and a continued commitment to accessible, community-focused basketball.
OSBA’s Small Ball program will return this season with plans to operate:
A Right Way-supported Saturday programming with an Intro and Intermediate stream
Weekday programming with an Intermediate stream support by Community Coaches
The Right Way-supported programming is designed to provide young athletes with an introductory basketball experience built on strong developmental principles and certified coaching standards.
Community Programming will continue to provide one of the association’s most popular entry-level basketball experiences, focused on:
Fun and engaging introductory basketball
Fundamental movement and skill development
Positive coaching environments
Confidence-building for young athletes and families entering the sport
OSBA’s U10 programming continues to expand across the community with:
Introductory
Intermediate
Advanced
U10 Development streams planned in both the Findley Creek and Riverside South areas.
Girls-specific programming is expected to return again this season. Should registration numbers not support standalone girls divisions at certain levels, OSBA intends to offer co-ed opportunities at the introductory and intermediate stages to ensure all athletes continue to have access to quality development opportunities.
House League programming is expected to continue growing this season, with OSBA planning expanded internal conference play opportunities across additional divisions.
OSBA remains committed to balancing:
Development
Fun
Community engagement
Competitive gameplay
Affordable participation
For players and families across all age groups.
OSBA’s competitive program will continue to emphasize:
Strong player development
Qualified coaching
Community-first basketball
Competitive pricing
As part of that commitment, the association has also reduced tryout fees for the upcoming season in an effort to improve accessibility for families.
Additional competitive program information, including tryout structures, timelines, and team expectations, will be released with the May 15 information package.
The OSBA Winter Tune-Up Program is designed for both House League and Competitive players looking for additional court time and skill development opportunities prior to the start of the full winter season. Running from mid-September through early October, the program will provide athletes with structured basketball sessions focused on fundamentals, conditioning, and game preparation. Additional details, schedules, and registration information will be released later this month.
We are excited for what is ahead and look forward to welcoming both returning and new families to Ottawa South Basketball.
The OSBA Junior Officials Program is designed to introduce young athletes to basketball officiating while building confidence, leadership, communication, and game-management skills. Participants will receive mentorship, on-court training, and practical officiating experience within OSBA programming as they develop through the officiating pathway. The program continues to serve as an important part of the association’s long-term commitment to player development, community involvement, and growing the next generation of basketball officials.
