The VP Competitive oversees the planning and execution of competitive tryouts, manages team selection processes, and ensures compliance with policies specific to the competitive stream and the Eastern Ontario Basketball Conference (EOBC). Acting as both a policy leader and operational coordinator, the VP Competitive plays a critical role in fostering a high-quality, well-governed competitive basketball environment.

The Vice President, House League is a senior member of the Operational Committee responsible for overseeing the Ottawa South Basketball Associations community-based programs. This role manages the planning and execution of sort outs for U11-U19 House League divisions, the U10 Development program, and the Small Ball program, ensuring fair player placement and a positive participant experience. The VP House League liaises directly with coaches and coordinates with the Eastern Ontario Basketball Association (EOBA) on matters affecting House League operations, providing leadership in policy application and day-to-day program delivery.

The Technical Director is responsible for ensuring that coach training and certification standards are effectively implemented across both the Competitive and House League programs. This role provides leadership in policy development related to technical standards, coaching practices, and player development pathways. The Technical Director also represents the association in liaising with the Eastern Ontario Basketball Association (EOBA) and Basketball Canada, ensuring that OSBA’s programs reflect and advance the broader goals of its affiliated partners.

Working closely with the General Manager, this role oversees the day-to-day management of cancellations, reallocations, and adjustments to gym space to ensure programs run smoothly and facility resources are used efficiently.

Junior Officials Coordinator
The Referee-in-Chief is responsible for coordinating the Junior Officials Program within the Ottawa South Basketball Association, ensuring consistent training, mentorship, and development of all junior officials under the OSBA model. This role liaises with peer associations in the EOBA, including the Ottawa Shooting Stars and Nepean Blue Devils, to help coordinate officiating coverage for exhibition games and other special requests. The Referee-in-Chief provides leadership in officials training, assignment, and evaluation, ensuring that OSBA maintains a high standard of officiating across all levels of play.

Equipment Manager
The Equipment Manager is responsible for the issuance, exchange, and tracking of all equipment provided to coaches for both the Competitive and House League programs. This includes leading the major kit distribution each season—mid-September for Competitive coaches and late September through mid-October for House League coaches. While not responsible for Competitive jersey ordering in the 2025-2026 season, the Equipment Manager also oversees access to shared game resources such as score clocks and 24-second shot clocks to support teams and officials.
