2022-2023 Practice Times and Locations - Gym Allocation Principles:

  • Assumes all permit requests that have been submitted will be approved
  • Any reduction in the number of permits or permit times will have an impact on the number of practices that can be held
  • Youngest teams get earliest slots (at 6:00 pm). Older kids get later gym times.
  • 1.5 hour practices for house league once/week;
  • 2 hour practices for comp twice/week; 1 hour for U7 teams once/week
  • 1 “far” (e.g. Metcalfe/Kars) and 1 core (e.g. Riverside South/Findlay Creek, St Mark) location possible for each competitive teams as required
  • Maintain core locations for house league teams
  • Larger gyms for oldest ages where possible; one tile and one wood gym for comp teams when possible (except U10)
  • Align practice nights for house league teams at a similar age brackets where possible
  • Leave open gym slots ior anticipated gym cancellations that occur due to school activities
  • Avoid Monday/Friday practice combinations and back to back practices except where requested
  • Younger ages on Fridays due to older kids' work commitments
