Ottawa South Basketball is excited to welcome back our players and coaches for our 2021-22 Season!

When Will Registration Open?

Open registration for our 2020-21 season is now CLOSED for all of our programs!

A small number of spaces may be available in select House League, Novice and Small Ball programs. Please contact osbapresident@hotmail.com for details.

What is Happening with Gym Access?

OSBA has been able to secure some limited gym space at the Minto Rec complex and at the Hunt Club Community Centre. This space is being assigned for competitive team try-outs and a limited number of practices. A full start to our season is reliant on access to facilities in our local schools and gym permits are controlled by the four Ottawa school boards through the Community Use of Schools program. Currently all requests for gym permits have been submitted by OSBA and we are awaiting approval to gain access to the gyms. Once gyms open we will be able to start our programs for this season. While details remain to be confirmed we are currently not expecting to be able to gain access to gyms before the end of October 2021 at the earliest.

Why is OSBA offering Pre-registration:

This season OSBA opened pre-registration in order for participants to secure a place and to determine the number of teams and coaches we will be needing. Pre-registration is ow closed and program details are available on our website.

What is Happening with Competitive Basketball Programs?

OSBA plans to host Competitive Teams for male and female players from age 8 to 19.

Tryouts are now finalized and team selections will be completed in early October.

What is Happening with House League / Recreational Basketball Programs?

OSBA plans to host House League Teams for male and female players from age 8 to 19.

OSBA would like to establish a House League Planning Committee. If you are interested to help on this committee please contact osbapresident@hotmail.com.

House League teams will be formed once sufficient parent coach volunteers are identified and gyms become available.

Who are Our Coaches?

No matter your experience we are always looking for new coaches. OSBA provides training to all of our coach volunteers.

In order to help us with our season planning we would like all interested coaches to please register at the following link.

Once we have received coach interest we will be confirming coach assignments and then discuss details concerning the format of the season for each team.
